Create An FAQ Page
FAQs, or Frequently Asked Questions, are a time-tested and versatile content solution that most users naturally gravitate towards whenever they're not quite ready to take the next step with an organization, product or service. And the good news is, you can generate shareable FAQ pages instantly via skilly.
Here are just some of the ways our clients use FAQs:
- Building FAQs into your website that will always be up-to-date, without having to edit the site
- Posting a page of Q&As on social media prior to a major event or after major news
- Informing upcoming meeting attendees in a calendar invite (e.g. new partners or media outlets)
- Training new hires with educational material (especially using the Flashcard feature)
- Assigning a group of topical Q&As to an expert for review & maintenance
Creating Your First FAQ Set
As you may already know, building Q&As plays a major role in training your skilly. And it's those Q&As which can subsequently be handpicked for a public-facing FAQ set by first navigating to FAQs:

Proceed to + Create New Set and you'll be presented with an initial screen that allows you to customize how your FAQ page will look when shared with the public. This includes font and color choices to stay on-brand, as well as the page title. We'll see how this impact the public-facing page in a moment, but for now let's skip to the next screen and begin adding Q&As.

How Q&As Become FAQs
All the questions on your team's platform to date, be they manually-generated or skilly-generated, will be available to choose from. By filtering and searching to amass a group of questions on the same topic, you're not only putting together a public-ready FAQ page in real-time... you're also helping your skilly learn what questions have a close relationship to each other, which trains it to better understand context when interacting with your users.
Best practices would suggest adding anywhere between 3 and 7 questions to an FAQ set, and when you're done, click the Add Questions & Save button at the bottom. That's it! You now have a unique URL to publish your FAQ page, with editable Q&A content and on-brand styling that can always be edited and previewed.

What Else Can You Do With FAQs?
You may have noticed some other interactions in the FAQ section:
- Edit Answers: when you update or improve on an answer inside your FAQs, that answer automatically updates the source Q&A item, and vice versa. This makes an FAQ set extremely useful as a method for inviting subject matter experts from your team to review and maintain knowledge on the topics of their expertise.
- Invite Contributors: as mentioned above, you can build out a more robust FAQ set by inviting other experts to edit content or take ultimate ownership of the page.
- "Play" The FAQ Set: this is a great internal training feature that turns the FAQ set into an animated flashcard experience:

Many of our clients find unique situations for publishing FAQs, and as a staple of webpage content, you'll likely end up creating several different sets. With the ability to sort, search and filter all your FAQs, it's a breeze to build these highly useful pages through skilly.
